What is the full form of BCA?

 The full form of BCA is Bachelor of Computer Applications. This is an undergraduate degree for a duration of three years focusing on software development and computer applications. It serves as a path to the students who want to pursue a career in the IT field. BCA degree provides the students with various IT skills such as knowledge about various programming languages such as C++, python, DBMS (Database Management Systems), cyber security, software development methodologies, operating systems networks, web development technologies, etc. In order to be eligible for the BCA course the candidates must have completed their class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised school. Also the candidates who have completed their class 12th and are waiting for their results can apply for the BCA course. After BCA the candidates can find employment opportunities such as software developer, web developer, system analyst, IT project manager, network administrator, etc.

The BCA admission process is based on both entrance exam and merit depending upon the college. The job profiles after BCA are software developer, tech support, system administrators, technical analyst, etc. Some of the top recruiters hiring BCA graduates are HCL, HP, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. The full form of BCA course is a very good choice for the students as it allows students from different streams to pursue a career in the field of computer science. The course fees for BCA is comparatively less than BTech courses and hence it is very pocket friendly for students from different backgrounds. There are various financial institutions such as Banks, accounting firms, NBFC that prefer hiring BCA graduates to manage their systems and operations. After BCA, the candidates can go for MCA, MBA, etc. Some colleges prefer that the students must have physics, chemistry and mathematics as their main subjects in their class 12. There is no age limit prescribed for a BCA degree.
